Slag Rotary Dryer
The motorless sand and gravel classifier (gravity-air separator) is high-efficiency material-separation equipment that operates without its own drive.
It is widely used in dry sand production lines, sand and stone powder separation systems, and the cement, metallurgical and power industries.
Basic principle: particle separation under the action of air flow, gravity and inertia.
Working principle
The material and primary air enter the classifier from top to bottom. The air flow changes direction by 120° and carries away the fine particles, which are discharged from the classifier through the vanes. Coarse particles, which due to their own mass cannot change direction together with the flow, settle to the bottom of the classifier and are discharged through the discharge valve.
The secondary air, fed from below under the vanes, is forced through the descending stream of particles. Coarse particles near the separation boundary are deflected by the secondary air flow and enter the vortex motion of the heart-shaped chamber. Fine particles captured at the entrance to the classifier, as well as particles carried out of the vortex, are carried by the exiting air to the dust collector (bag filter) for final capture.

Main equipment units
- Material feed unit

Advantages
- Energy saving.
No electric motor; energy consumption only from the fan. - Low cost.
Low capital costs, minimal maintenance and few wearing parts. - Adjustable classification.
The ability to adjust material feed, primary air, secondary air and discharge volume allows precise control of dust content. - Simple and reliable design.
No moving parts, low wear and high reliability. - Improved product quality.
Effective dust removal (<200 mesh) and the possibility of reusing the dust.
Areas of application
- artificial sand production lines
- processing of limestone, granite, etc.
- dry classification of sand-gravel materials
- preliminary separation in the cement industry
